Here is a statement from the ALS-Ambulanz<\/a>, translated into English:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ALS is one of the \u201corphans of medicine\u201d \u2013 rare diseases that are not the focus of social attention. Treatment is significantly underfunded, and there is also insufficient funding for ALS research. Donations and other third-party funding are of fundamental importance.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This underfunding has become apparent with the Ice Bucket Challenge<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research requires more money. Here is my idea. Let\u2019s make our money-raising campaign for ALS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
