Raising awareness for ALS is very important to me. This also benefits other neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s. Unfortunately, research in this area remains severely underfunded and is consequently at a very early stage. There are two main reasons for this: firstly, neurological diseases such as ALS are not yet in the public consciousness. Second, the financial incentive for research is not as high as it is for a widespread disease such as cancer.
For this reason, I am deliberately very vocal and hope that other sufferers will also go public and not feel ashamed of their illness. In addition, I am pleased with every media appearance, such as the one with Cippi, and I initiate fundraising campaigns, including a charity run on September 28 in Rottenburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.modernescpp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/beerjpg-1030x1030.jpg\")
